The Sabbath Video Project, begun by the late Jim Arrabito, Seventh-day
Adventist lay evangelist, researcher, and artist, is at last coming to
fruition. His widow, Pat, leads LLT Productions, which has produced the
first volume of a video series promoting the Sabbath. Professional actor Hal
Holbrook narrates this fascinating video series in English. Spanish and
other translations are underway. The entire five-video series is due to be
completed by mid-2002. These videos are excellent for Sabbath study groups,
or Public Access Television.

Summary of Part One: Created for all mankind as a continuing celebration of
Creation and a perpetual invitation to a relationship with the Creator, the
Sabbath has always been a primary target of Satan's attacks. In the
pre-Christian era the enemy has had a two-pronged strategy: 1) To promote
creature/nature worship; and 2) Under the guise of true religion, to bury
the Sabbath in a formal, legalistic, ritualistic system of worship.
Purpose of The Seventh Day Video Series
The five-part television documentary series traces the remarkable story of
God's Sabbath-keeping people throughout history. Produced for commercial
television, it features beautiful location footage, classic art,
illustrative re-enactments, interviews with experts, and solid biblical and
historical documentation. The entire series will be available in the 12 most
widely spoken languages of the world.
"And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou
shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shall be called
the repairer of the breach. The restorer of paths to dwell in." Isaiah 58:12
The Timeliness of the Sabbath Issue. Could it now be time to "build up the
old waste places?" To "repair the breach" in the Law of God? (Isaiah
58:12-14) The Sabbath is the distinctive sign of the Creator-God. As the
coming of Jesus draws near, the pope is calling for a more careful
observance of Sunday. The religious right in America is proclaiming a return
to God. The United States and the whole world will soon face laws
restricting religious liberty. The Sabbath will be a decisive issue
affecting the destiny of millions of souls.
The Meaning of the Sabbath. The Sabbath was set aside at the end of creation
week as a holy day in which to remember a loving Creator. Wrapped in the
symbol of rest, this day represents trust - trust in the Creator, trust in
God's power to speak worlds into existence, trust in His ability to give
spiritual rest and salvation to sinful humanity.
Scope of Sabbath-keeping. Our journey through time and history will reveal
locations across the globe where the Sabbath was observed: From the seventh
day of Creation week to Nehemiah on the wall; from the apostles to
Constantine and his Sunday edict; from St. Patrick and the British Isles to
the Alpine villages of northern Italy and the fragrant forests of Bohemia;
from the deserted ruins of Syria to the massive mountains and endless sands
of Central Asia; from the steaming jungles of India to the quiet ports of
Japan and the trade routes of western China; from South America to the
windswept ice of Alaska; from Sunday Laws to the Second Coming of Jesus.
You will be shown evidence that the Sabbath was kept by the majority of
Christians for hundreds of years after the time of Christ, that it was never
lost, and that its faithful adherents preserved civilization for the modern
world.
Through this historical approach, you will see that Sabbatarian Christianity
was universal and was not merely an extension of the West. Translated into a
